Joshua Todd Shadwick

Joshua T. Shadwick is an Assistant Professor at Southeast Missouri State University in the Department of Criminal Justice, Social Work and Sociology. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses on topics ranging from research methods to gangs. His research interests include the justice system’s response to social problems, police investigations, and wildlife crime. Dr. Shadwick’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as, Policing: An International Journal, Deviant Behavior, and Criminal Justice Policy Review. Prior to his current occupation, he served a total of seven years in law enforcement. These years of service were comprised of four years as a Sheriff Deputy for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and three years as a Conservation Agent for the Missouri Department of Conservation.
