Julius Kugonza
Kugonza Julius
holds a master’s degree in Business Administration (Data Science Major) from Manipal Academy of Higher Education-India, Masters in Economic policy and a bachelor’s degree in statistics from Makerere University, Uganda. He is also a trade policy design and negotiation fellow from the University of Adelaide, Australia. Julius has over 10 years’ experience in the public, CSO and private sectors. He currently works as the Head of business intelligence and Analysis unit at Uganda Revenue Authority. He begun his career at Uganda Bureau of Statistics.He is also a senior research fellow at Pride data solutions (Policy Thinktank). He is also currently a Consultant- Informal Cross Border Trade (ICBT) for the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. He has also previously worked as a Consultant-Applied Statistician/Power BI Developer for GIZ-South Africa. He also previously worked at a Consultant-Trade Statistics Trainer for JICA. Julius’ research interests are in the areas of Regional Integration, Disruptive Technologies, IFFs and Environment
