Kimberly Mudd-Fegett

Kimberly N. Mudd-Fegett , DSW, MSSW is an Associate Professor at the Carver School of Social Work at Campbellsville University. Dr. Mudd-Fegett teaches across the program curriculum in the both face to face and online classrooms. However, Dr. Mudd-Fegett’s teaching passion remains with the undergraduate students in the face to face classroom. Dr. Mudd-Fegett received her BSW from the University of Kentucky; her MSSW from the University of Louisville and her DSW from Capella University. Dr. Mudd-Fegett’s practice experience includes nearly fourteen years of experience with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services working as a frontline child welfare worker and supervisor. Dr. Mudd-Fegett continues to practice as a certified forensic interviewer at Silverleaf Sexual Trauma Recovery Center where she has interviewed over 3,000 children facing sexual, physical and emotional trauma. Dr. Mudd-Fegett’s passion is centered in the area of child maltreatment and she strives to use the classroom to prepare students mentally and emotionally to address the secondary trauma they will face in social work practice.
