Komala James
is a highly esteemed educator and researcher with a distinguished career in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). Currently serving as the Professor & Head of the Department of ECE at SRM Valliammai Engineering College, a prestigious institution under the SRM Group, has made significant contributions to academia and the wireless communications domain. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, followed by a Master's degree in Applied Electronics. Building on this strong foundation, she pursued a Ph.D. focusing on the Mobility in Fourth Generation Wireless Networks, showcasing a passion for cutting-edge research and technological advancements. With an impressive teaching experience of 27 years and 3 years of industrial experience, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and student success. She published more than 25 research articles in esteemed International Journals and Conferences. She received “100 Most Dedicated Professors” award by the World Education Congress in 2018 and were named the “Best Professor in Communication Engineering” at the 11th Innovative Education Leadership Awards in 2019. She is a Fellow member of IETE (Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers) and Life Members of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) & CSI (Computer Society of India). Additionally, an Annual Member of the Indian Science Congress Association and a Member of IAENG (International Association of Engineers). In recognition of their contributions to academia and the engineering community, she received a grant of Rs. 1.5 Lakhs from AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) for organizing the National Conference on “Recent trends in Wireless Communications and Networking” in 2014. Her area of interests is Wireless Communication, Networking and Internet of Things.
