Lisa-Marie Ross

Lisa-Marie Ross is a full time Researcher at the Centre for Asian Legal Studies (CALS) at the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Law. She received her first law degree from the University of Kiel specializing in Banking and Finance Law and her Master of Laws degree in International and Comparative Law from the National University of Singapore. Lisa’s research interests are comparative studies between Asia and Europe with a focus on comparative commercial law, as well as comparative international law. Currently, she is working on projects on crypto assets regulation, international commercial arbitration, and climate change litigation. Lisa is a regular speaker at international academic and industry conferences and has published her research in leading international and local journals and books. Further, she is contributing to the Digital Euro Association and the International Token Standardization Association as an expert and working group member. Prior to joining CALS, Lisa worked for six years as a Research Associate at the Goethe-University Frankfurt. Furthermore, Lisa is a trained banker and has worked in several banking and lecturing positions. Therefore, she is particularly interested in responses to legal challenges resulting from the transformation of financial markets by the fast-moving digital ledger technology.
