Mafalda Ferreira
Mafalda Gonçalves Ferreira
is a criminologist, with a master's degree in Legal Medicine from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences – University of Porto (ICBAS) and a PhD in Forensic Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). She is also the vice-president of the Plano i Association, a collaborating member of the Interdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies (CIEG – ISCSP-ULisboa) and a member of the list of experts recognized by the CIG in the areas of equality between men and women, violence against women and domestic violence, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression and sexual characteristics at birth. She was the executive coordinator of the (INMATES) project – Intimacy(s) and emotions – awareness and intervention for the prevention of gender violence, promotion of gender equality and social diversity in a prison context and of the Gis Center – Center for Responses to LGBTI Populations, as well as a member of the research team of the international project UNI4EQUITY Strengthening Universities Response To Sexual Harassment and trainer in the areas of gender violence, gender equality and LGBTI issues.
