Marina L. Gavrilova

Marina L. Gavrilova is a Full Professor at the University of Calgary and Research Excellence Chair in Trustworthy an Explainable AI. She directs the Biometric Technologies Laboratory and has published over 300 books, conference proceedings, and peer-reviewed articles in the domains of biometric security, machine learning, pattern recognition, and information fusion. Her professional excellence was recognized by the Canada Foundation for Innovation, the Killam Foundation, and the Order of the University of Calgary. She is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Transactions on Computational Sciences (Springer), and serves on the editorial boards for the IEEE Transactions on Computational Sciences, IEEE Access, The Visual Computer, Sensors, IJPRAI and the International Journal of Biometrics.
