Neil Mercer
Neil Mercer is Professor of Education and Fellow of Hughes Hall at the University of Cambridge, having previously been Professor of Language and Communications at the Open University, UK. He is a psychologist with particular interests in the development of children’s language and reasoning, classroom dialogue and the use of digital technology in schools, who has worked closely with teachers and researchers in several countries. His most recent books are Words and Minds: How We Use Language to Think Together and (with Karen Littleton) Dialogue and the Development of Children’s Thinking.
