Nor Aziah Alias

Nor Aziah Alias is an honorary professor of Teaching and Learning at of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She was formerly the UiTM Director of Academic Development (2014-2021). She has a Masters and Bachelor degree in Physics from Indiana University, Bloomington. She earned a Graduate Certificate in ODL from USQ, Australia and a doctoral degree in the field of instructional technology from IIUM Malaysia. Dr Nor Aziah’s fields of interest include Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) and ICT for Development (ICT4D). Dr Nor Aziah once won the Amy Mahan Research Fellowship from IDRC, Canada that allowed her to study the use of ICT for rural empowerment. She is also involved in digital education projects and researching technology for the needs of learners with disabilities. She conceptualized the Virtual Centre for Innovative Delivery and Learning Development @UiTM and spearheaded Education 5.0@UiTM, a strategic initiative to develop a holistic values-based and technology rich academic ecosystem. Dr. Nor Aziah has published in journals and books published by MIT Press, Springer, Sage, Information Age Publishing, Copenhagen Business School Press, Libri Press (UK) and IGI Global (USA). She is currently active in various Malaysian higher education ministry funded projects.
