Nurahimah Mohd. Yusoff

Nurahimah Mohd. Yusoff is a Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at the School of Education, College of Arts and Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Her research interests include Curriculum Design and Development, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, Educational Evaluation and Assessment, and Qualitative Research. She is very passionate about teaching and was a recipient of the UUM Distinguished Teacher Award in 2010. She has engaged in many research projects, receiving grants from both local and international agencies, including the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), and the Higher Education Leadership Academy of MoHE (AKEPT). She has published many refereed journal articles and presented papers at local and international conferences. Over the last 34 years at UUM, she had served as the Director of the University Teaching and Learning Centre (UTLC) and was the Head of Taskforce for the UUM Teach for Malaysia (PGDE) and the Doctor of Education programmes. From 2010 - 2016, she has been involved in the training of Master Trainers in the areas of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), Curriculum Design, Management and Development (CDMD), Student Supervision (SSV) and Instructional Design and Strategies (IDS) for higher education academic leaders. In these Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes at AKEPT, she and her colleagues integrate theory, research, and practice to empower academic leaders to improve their teaching-learning and supervision skills. Professor Dr. Nurahimah was also the former Director of two important Units: the UUM Self-Accreditation Unit and the Academic Excellence Development Unit at the Department of Academic Affairs.
