Oluwatoyin Catherine Agbonifo

Prof. Oluwatoyin C. Agbonifo received her B.Sc degree in Computer Science from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and an M.Tech. and a PhD in Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. Prof. Agbonifo is a Professor in the Department of Information Systems, School of Computing, Federal University of Technology, Akure. She teaches various courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the Federal University of Technology, Akure. She has supervised many M.Tech. and Ph.D. Computer Science students. She is a co-researcher and active member of E-Learning research group that won the National Research Innovation grant award by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund in 2015. She has authored/co-authored a number of articles at both local and international refereed journals and conference proceedings. She is a regular reviewer in local as well as international scientific/academic journals. Prof.(Mrs.) Agbonifo is a member of various local and international societies such as: Nigeria Computer Society (NCS); Computer Professional of Nigeria (CPN); Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE); Association for the Advancement of Computer in Education (AACE) and Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD). She was an executive member of OWSD for FUTA Chapter between 2017-2019 where she held a Technical position. Her research interest areas include: Personalised and Adaptive E-learning Systems, Digital Game-Based Learning Systems, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology for Development.
