Onijuni Olatomide

Onijuni Olufemi Olatomide had a B.Ed in Guidance and Counselling from Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti), and bagged an M.Ed degree in Guidance and Counselling from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State. He later bagged a Ph.D in Counselling Psychology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State – all in Nigeria. He had taught across levels of Nigerian educational institutions, namely primary, secondary, and tertiary. He had practised as a Counsellor both from the school system, and outside of the school system. In each of these levels, he had practised as school Counsellor to students and staff alike. Much earlier, he had practised as an Assistant Counsellor in Guidance and Counselling Specialist Clinic, Kaduna, Kaduna State before bagging his second and third degrees. Dr. Olatomide, Onijuni Olufemi joined the services of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 2010 as an Assistant Lecturer, and is presently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations and Counselling, Faculty of Education in the Institution. He is currently the Coordinator of students’ Counselling Practicum exercise. Dr. Olatomide, Onijuni Olufemi has over 35 publications in reputable national and international journal outlets. Also, he is a reviewer to some recognised publication outlets – both within and without Nigeria. His research interests areas are in older workers’ employment and retirees.
