Phylis Johnson
Phylis Johnson, PhD, is Director & Professor of Journalism & Mass Communications at San Jose State University, San Jose, CA. She is Emeritus Professor of Sound and New media at the Department of
Radio, Television & Digital Media at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL, USA. She is author/co-author of five books, the former editor of two international journals, and has extensively presented and published internationally. She isthe co-founding editor of Sound & Culture (University of California Press) which will debut Fall 2019.
