Prabhakar Telagarapu
Prabhakar Telagarapu
is currently a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the GMR Institute of Technology, Rajam, Andhra Pradesh, India. His career at GMRIT started as an assistant professor from 2002 to 2010, after which he was promoted to senior assistant professor from 2010 to 2017, and then to associate professor from 2017 to 2022. Prior to joining GMRIT, he gained nearly two years of industrial experience. With more than 24 years of distinguished experience in academia and industry, including over 14 years post M.Tech and over 7 years post Ph.D, he has made significant research contributions, publishing over 80 papers in reputed journals and international conferences. He holds three patents, two published and one granted, and has contributed to two books, authored one book, and written six book chapters, all published internationally. He has also guided 1 M.Tech. student and 11 B.Tech. students. He earned his Ph.D. from Anna University, CEG, Chennai, India. He completed his M.Tech in Instrumentation and Control in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, Kakinada, India, and his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sir C.R. Reddy College of Engineering, Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, India. His research interests include Image Processing and Communications. He is also a reviewer for esteemed international journals and a senior member of the IEEE.
