Przemysław Kępczyński

Przemysław Kępczyński, LLM, is a graduate of the Łódź University of Technology, specializing in software engineering, where he researched stock price forecasting using artificial neural networks. Furthering his academic pursuits, he completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, where he wrote his thesis on the valuation of capital companies using exotic options. Kępczyński began his professional journey in investment finance, playing a key role in the formation of the trading department at XTB. He later contributed to the establishment of the Alior Trader and efx platforms at Alior Bank. In 2013, he pivoted to the rapidly evolving blockchain industry, collaborating with investors on projects related to cryptocurrency exchanges and token issuance. A significant aspect of Kępczyński's research concentrates on the intricate interplay between game theory and consensus mechanisms in decentralized protocols and organizations, particularly DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations). Through this, he explores how game-theoretical models can be leveraged to ensure honesty, fairness, and efficiency in decentralized systems, ensuring that participants act in the best interests of the network. Such studies are pivotal in understanding the sustainability and security of emerging decentralized structures, as they operate based on mutual trust and collaboration among anonymous entities. Besides this, Kępczyński is the esteemed author of a publication that delves into the application of game theory in mediation, published by the Institute of Justice. His current academic venture involves comprehensive research for his doctoral thesis, focusing on the legal implications and status of smart contracts in Polish private law.
