Puspita Ayu Permatasari
Puspita Permatasari
is of Indonesian origin. She obtained a doctoral degree from USI-Università della Svizzera italiana Switzerland in Communication Sciences for intangible cultural heritage (ICH) and tourism, focusing on the case of Indonesian Batik, a UNESCO ICH inscribed in 2009. Her research interest is in cultural heritage, fashion industry, and tourism management. She is the creator and research coordinator of iWareBatik at USI UNESCO Chair. iWareBatik is presented in form of website (
) and an AI-powered mobile app available in Android and iOs. She holds a master degree of Management of Natural/Cultural Heritage and Tourism from IREST, University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France. She has worked as Consultant for world heritage management for Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, and Indonesian delegation for UNESCO in Paris, France. Her previous study background was literature of Chinese studies at University of Indonesia. She had been professional interpreter of Mandarin, English, and Indonesian languages for governments, private entities, and international bodies (UNHCR, FAO, etc.)
