Rana Zeine

Dr. Rana Zeine, MD, PhD, MBA is Adjunct Faculty at Kean Univ. and Union Coll. Of Union County, and also Visiting Professor III at Chamberlain Univ. Coll. of Nursing, NJ, USA. She teaches Immunology with lab, Genetics with lab, Microbiology with lab, Human Biology lab, Anatomy and Physiology lab, Biology of Cancer, Biological Aspects of Aging, Independent Research, and formerly taught pathology courses. She earned her BS in Biology, Teaching Diploma, and MD from the American Univ. of Beirut. She rotated in neurogenetics/neuropediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard, Boston, MA, USA. She was awarded a Quebec scholarship and fellowships by the MS Society of Canada, earning a Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine from McGill Univ., Montreal, QC. Dr. Zeine completed residency and fellowship in Pathology and Neuropathology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM), Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY, USA. She also earned an MBA with Distinction from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry Coll. of NY, USA. She was research associate in neuroimmunology for multiple sclerosis at Ottawa Univ., ON, Canada, and at AECOM, Bronx, NY, USA. She was research scientist at the Dementia Center of the Nathan Kline Institute at NY State Foundation for Psychiatric Res., Orangeburg, USA. At Northwestern Univ., Chicago, IL, USA, Dr. Zeine was research assistant professor in pediatric oncology neuroblastoma, and associate director for the Pathology Core Facility at the Comprehensive Cancer Center, serving ECOG, NCI, USA. At the Univ. of Chicago, she was research faculty in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. At Saint James School of Medicine, IL, USA, Dr. Zeine was associate professor at Bonaire/St. Vincent campus. She chaired QA and Research, and was secretary for Curriculum and Faculty Affairs committees. Dr. Zeine is a scholar published in a wide range of fields including T cells in EAE, gdT cell cytotoxicity in MS, Cancer-Associated-Fibroblasts and microvascular proliferation in neuroblastoma, joint mobility in sedentary vs. active adults, cyberchondria determinants and effects on patient compliance, organizational culture, measures of organizational effectiveness in higher education institutions, cannabinoid effects in Huntington's disease, MS, Epilepsy, and cancers. Current research projects include congenital ZIKA syndrome, chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), and the pathophysiologic effects of microgravity.
