Rodica Sturza

Rodica Sturza , in 1989 - doctoral thesis in chemistry entitled: “Electrochemical properties of titanium-dioxymanganese anodes obtained by the electric spark method”, Electrochemistry specialty, within the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (Vilnius). In 2008, habillitatus thesis entitled: “Theoretical and practical principles of food fortification with micronutrients: iodine, iron, calcium”, food technology, Technical University of Moldova. Area of scientific concern: Technology of food products; food safety: reducing the risks of chemical, biochemical, microbiological food contamination; technogenic contaminants; falsification of products; non-compliant packaging materials; control of food along the food chain. She is the coordinator of the State Program “Food Security and Safety in the Period of Demographic Transition” (2018-2021), member of the Exact and Engineering Sciences section of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (since 2018) and honorary member of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences (since 2019); Horizon Europe National Contact point: Food security, sustainable agriculture, marine and maritime research and the bio-economy; Biotechnology.
