Roger W. McHaney

Roger McHaney is Professor and University Distinguished Teaching Scholar at Kansas State University. He currently holds the Daniel D. Burke Chair for Exceptional Faculty and teaches courses in Management Information Systems and Data Analytics. McHaney earned his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Lake Superior State University, and his Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. Prior to obtaining a Ph.D., he worked in various software development and simulation analyst roles at a major industrial automation firm. He joined the Department of Management faculty at Kansas State in Fall, 1995. His main research interests include computer simulation and its intersection with industrial systems, healthcare, big data, and other areas. He has authored and coauthored numerous journal articles, scholarly books, and textbooks.
