B.Sc, B.Ed. M.SC (Zoology), M.ED, PH.D (Education), UGC NET (Education), Computer diploma in teacher training, M. A Sociology (pursuing) Assistant Professor Department of Education /Zoology. Dr (Ms) Sonia Sharma completed her studies, B.Sc, B.Ed, M.Sc M.Ed. Panjab University Chandigargh. G.N.D.U. Amritsar, Bhoj Open University, Madhya Pradesh, and Ph.D from Punjabi University, Patiala campus and two years computer diploma in “Teacher Training” from ISO certified Soft Brain Setting Standard in Education and MA Sociology pursuing. She started her career in Miri Piri Missionary school and later on joined an International school (G.V.I), Ludhiana, where she worked as a senior science teacher, Coordinator, Vice Principal and Principal. During this period she achieved INSPIRE Science participation certificate (as a Guide/Instructor) at state level in Ludhiana, International Olympiad of English language, Inspiring Award (as a Principal), to enhance academic level of students in English language by IOEL, “Gold medal” as an active Principal by Indira Gandhi Vigyan Sanshodhan Sanstha, Pune., She organized various events of Sahodya Sports meet, Diwali Mela, inter and intra school competitions 20082012 along with these she was also nominated for Bharat Vidya Shiromani award, Jan 2012 and for International Gold star award in Dubai, Sept 2013. Later on she joined RIMT University, Mandi Gobindgarh as Lecturer in department of Education where she formed the colleges as well as duties assigned by Punjabi University, Patiala as an “External Instructor/ Supervisor” for skill in “teaching of science” and for B. Ed and MA in Education Classes and After on she joined Shri Ganesh College of Education as a Assistant Professor, Haryana. After that she joined DAV University, Jalandhar, as a Assistant Professor where she framed Course design/syllabus for Four Year Integrated B.Sc B.Ed course. She also organized 7 days FDP workshop as core committee member and she was alsowell active member of many committees. She has total more than 16 years' experience in the field of academic and administration. Her areas of research are as Education. Educational psychology, Higher Education. She has feminist approach in her research. She has more than 42 published (11 under publications UGC CARE) in her account, her research papers have published in Scopus and various ISBN Books, ISSN National and International journals/peer reviewed journals/ugc approved journals/conferences She has attended more than 8 workshops sponsored by UGC, HRDC, ICSSR. She has attended more than 35 conferences/seminars including international and national with paper presentations and publications as well as a participants, Her article has been published in news Paper of “Nava zamana” Jalandhar. Presently, she is guide of two Ph.D students, and two students are completing their dissertation under my supervision. One dissertation already published. She has life time membership of Council of Teacher Educator, sessional membership of Indian Science congress association (ISCA).
