Terrill Fancott

Dr. Terrill Fancott is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering of Concordia University, Montreal. Educated in Electrical Engineering at McGill University in Montreal, he studied in Paris for his Master’s degree at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique and for his Doctorate of Science from the Faculty of Science at Paris VI. His early career in industry involved electronics and logic design with applications to communication systems and advanced scientific satellite experiments. He joined Concordia as a faculty member specializing in Computer Architecture and Digital Design. He soon migrated to software and hardware design, Software Engineering and the Software Process. His research interests include Software Process, Embedded Systems and Biomedical Engineering. His recent work is centered on aspects of the Software Process, in particular requirements modeling and its traceability across the development phases of the process. His research has been financed by NSERC, FCAC, and Health and Welfare Canada.
