Thomas Reed

My English name is Dr. Thomas James Reed and most know me as, “TJ.” I have a PhD in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego and did my dissertation on Oneida college lacrosse players’ perspectives of the sacred game of lacrosse using talking circles (’21). I have a Master’s in Public Administration and a Certificate in American Indian Studies from California State University Long Beach (’16). I received a Bachelor's in Communication with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Leadership from Pepperdine University (’12). I am a Community Peacemaker and a Restorative Practices consultant and practitioner. I am an Assistant Professor in American Indian Studies at California State University of Long Beach. I am an Adjunct Faculty at Vermont Law School teaching Restorative Justice in Indigenous Communities. I work as a practitioner and consultant of Community Peacemaking and work primarily with different Tribal Nations. I am the program manager for the Haudenosaunee Nationals Development Teams for lacrosse, also known as the Creator’s Game. I have a heart for public service and leaving this world a better place for seven generations to come.
