Umar Farooq
is currently working as Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan, Pakistan. By profession I am a researcher and hold PhD degree in Food Science and Technology. I have 17 funded projects as s principal or co-principal investigator, which amounted to 110.51 million Pakistani rupees. I have 69 international peer-reviewed publications with an approximate accumulated impact factor of 150 and also authored two books and contributed 11 chapters to the edited books. In parent University I also working as Dean of the Faculty of Food and Home Sciences, Chairman Department of Human Nutrition, Additional Director of ORIC, Principal Officer of Academics, and Chairman Admission Committee. My area of research is food microbiology, food nutrition, food safety and quality and I also present my research work at various national and international level.
