Yuliya Summers
Yuliya Summers
has over two decades of experience in education, I've dedicated the past twelve years to serving as a university instructor. Prior to my role in higher education, I worked as a K-6 ESL/Bilingual Master teacher, contributing to the growth of students in the Dallas ISD. My research centers around advocacy, language policy, teacher professional learning, and preparation. Dr. Summers had the privilege of serving as the Past President of TexTESOL IV, a Houston affiliate of TESOL. Additionally, Dr. Summers held a position on the Membership Professional Council of TESOL International. Dr. Summers holds a Master's in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University (2007) and recently earned a Ph.D. in Bilingual Education from Texas A&M University.
