The library has always been an essential part of the collegiate experience, providing students with access to knowledge and literature. However, as virtual services and online learning become more prominent within collegiate environments, the ways students conduct research and access resources has been altered.

Sheila Bonnand (Ed.)
Sheila Bonnand is the Instructional Services at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. She holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Arizona and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Montana as well as an undergraduate degree in Botany/Biology Teaching. Her research interests include information literacy, especially as it applies to distance and online education, and intellectual freedom issues. She has been involved in a project using web conferencing software for instruction for the past three years and co-chaired the Innovative Learning Studio visioning group.
Mary Hansen (Ed.)
Mary Anne Hansen is the Research Commons Librarian at Montana State University and the MSU Library’s Distance Education Coordinator. She holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Arizona, a Master’s Degree in Adult and Higher Education from Montana State University, and an undergraduate degree in Modern Languages Teaching. She has been involved in a project using web conferencing software for instruction for the past four years and co-chaired the Innovative Learning Studio visioning group.
