The Intellectual Capital Report of Danya Cebus: Smart Construction
Abstract
This chapter is a “case study” portraying the use of a unique method to explore the hidden values and intangible assets of an Israeli construction company, Danya Cebus Ltd., as a basis for its future growth. The chapter describes in detail the process of producing the intellectual capital (IC) report of Danya Cebus, the first IC report produced by a construction company in the world. The report was the output of an in-depth strategic process which was guided professionally by the Israeli management consulting firm, Edna Pasher PhD & Associates. The authors hope that more companies will adapt the method of creating an IC report as described through the Danya Cebus case study. A periodical display of the organisation’s competences will increase the market value of the company and diminish stock fluctuation in the market routed in reasons that are irrelevant to the organisation’s capacity. Moreover, an IC report can serve as a central management tool, which enables a systematic examination of the organisation’s competences.
