ESP in the Field of Architecture: Features of Teaching Writing and Some Aspects of Error Analysis
Abstract
Architecture is one of the fundamental and promising specialties of a modern agricultural university. It is impossible to imagine the study of world experience in this area without ESP since the advanced design literature is written in English. Writing, as a skill that involves all the senses, is a fundamental means of teaching future architects in a foreign language class. A lot of time is devoted to the study of a professional foreign language in the educational programs of agricultural universities. The purpose of this chapter is a theoretical description of the practical experience of teaching ESP writing to future architects of an agricultural university. The novelty of the work is to describe the Ukrainian experience of teaching writing in a specialized foreign language at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Agricultural University based on scientific sources and existing programs.
