Abstract
The concept of the domestication of media technologies has been developed to describe and analyse the processes of technology’s acceptance, rejection and use. The concept is both theoretical and conceptual but proves to be valuable when applied to everyday life scenarios. This paper employs the Silverstone model of domestication as a structural and analytical framework to achieve an empirical understanding of domestication from the viewpoint of the domestic user. A model of re-domestication is offered to comprehend the process of Domestication through the eyes of everyday users.
