Abstract
In our interconnected world, cybersecurity is paramount due to IoT, cloud computing, and automation's impact on manufacturing. This chapter underscores digital manufacturing's dependence on interconnected systems and cloud infrastructure, acknowledging risks like data breaches, IP theft, and operational disruptions. It advocates a comprehensive cybersecurity approach encompassing technical measures, organizational policies, staff training, and incident response. The chapter delves into threats like malware, phishing, ransomware, and supply chain attacks, emphasizing continuous monitoring, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management. Additionally, it explores emerging trends like AI and machine learning in cybersecurity, legacy system security, and collaborative efforts among industry players, government agencies, and cybersecurity experts to safeguard digital manufacturing.
