Learning Analytics Impact for Learning Evaluation in the Context of Creating Learning Organizations
Abstract
This chapter explores the mission and concerns surrounding learning analytics and its significance in learning evaluation in creating learning organizations through digital transformation. It provides an overview of the current learning analytics landscape, emphasizing its potential to drive data-informed decision-making and enhance learning outcomes. The chapter addresses the importance of leveraging learning analytics within the broader context of digital transformation initiatives, highlighting the need to evaluate learning outcomes in digital environments. It underlines the importance of learning evaluation and the role of learning analytics frameworks in collecting and analyzing data and delves into the potential benefits and challenges of implementing learning analytics, highlighting the impact on learning. It also discusses the need for addressing gaps and improving the effectiveness of learning analytics. A couple of case studies are presented to showcase successful implementations and conclude with future directions and predictions for the field.
