Retorting to the COVID-19 Calamity: The Swift Turn Towards Digital Transformation in Learning Organizations
Abstract
The global expansion of COVID-19 has had disastrous consequences, both in terms of health and economics. However, in society and in organisations, we witness positive examples of collaborative and innovative activities. This chapter addresses the problem of how employee response to the COVID-19 calamity through which sudden challenges and opportunities created by digital transformation in learning organisations. Existing research in digital transformation in learning organisations tend to focus on finding out how employees play their vital role in settling their preferences and accustom to unprecedented situation. However, there is enough evidence that researchers have approached the issue generally. Still, from employee perspective very few extant literatures have been available that to specifically digital transformation in learning organisations. The relationships that exist between the COVID-19 crisis and digital transformation in learning yet to explore in different extents and components.
