Mohamed Khalgui (Ed.)
Mohamed Khalgui is a researcher at Xidian University in China. He was a full-time researcher in computer science at Martin Luther University in Germany, a part-time researcher at ITIA-CNR Institute in Italy, a collaborator with SEG Research Group in Greece, and a temporary lecturer at Henri Poincaré University in France. Dr. Khalgui obtained the Bachelor degree in Computer Science at Tunis University in 2001. The master degree was obtained in telecommunication and services at Henri Poincaré University in 2003. He made research activities in computer science at INRIA Institute to obtain the PhD at the French Polytechnical Institute of Lorraine in 2007. Dr. Khalgui activates in several European Projects and also in other interesting international collaborations. He’s currently the Head of ICTICA.
Olfa Mosbahi (Ed.)
Olfa Mosbahi received the B.S. degree in computer Science and the M.S. degree from Tunis University in 1999 and 2002, respectively. She did research in Computer Science at INRIA Institute to receive the Ph.D. degree at the French Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine, France, in 2008. She is an assistant professor in Computer Science at the University of Carthage, Tunisia. She was a part time researcher at INRIA, France and a temporary lecturer at Nancy II University. She is active in several European Projects and also in other interesting international collaborations.
Antonio Valentini (Ed.)
Antonio Valentini After attending the Electrical Engineering courses at the University, he started in 1985 his experience in the manufacturing industry with an internship in Olivetti inside the R&D of the printer division (OPE). Afterwards he passed from the design of printers to the design of automatic packaging machines, G.D SpA. In this area, he has completed his technical formation and consolidated his professional experience (co-inventor of
7 patents, 3 of them extended to other countries). In 2001, he became technical director in the Italian branch of ELAU, a control system provider. He has been O3NEIDA CEO since the establishment in 2004 of the not-for-profit incorporation, originated and supported inside the IMS program, and, later, president of O3neida Europe since its foundation in 2007. Main research areas of interest are: software engineering, distributed control systems, RTOS, motion control, mechatronics, embedded systems, industrial agents, service oriented architectures, web-services. Many papers published in journals and conference proceedings. Communication skills developed through supporting clients and suppliers worldwide and active membership at international institutions. As for his international experience, he has participated at the development teams of the
IEC-61131, IEC-61499 and IEC-61804 standards. He is registered as EU Framework Program Expert since 2004 and has acted as independent expert in the evaluation of Project Proposals and in the reviewing of European funded Network of Excellence and Projects. From 2008 to 2011 he has coordinated O3neida participation in the
EU-FP7- MEDEIA project and, currently, in the
IMS-MTP-IADP project. Finally he is member of the
IEC-SC65B-WG15, the IEEE-IES- Technical Committee on Industrial Agents and the
IEEE-IES-TC on Standards.
